gill-rossI have been leader of the EYFS for nine years. During this time I have established and developed an EYFS unit within a new building. I believe in working together as a team with my colleagues to plan and deliver the best possible provision for the children in our care. I endeavour to share my enthusiasm for EYFS with other teachers. Working with others is a great opportunity to develop my own practice, share experiences as well as collaborate with colleagues. My role as SENCO has developed over the last six years. I completed the National Award for Special Educational Needs Education in January 2013. My role involves monitoring provision and outcomes for SEND, developing systems to track the progress made by pupils, identify target groups which will meet the needs of each child and ensuring provision, using a variety of interventions to narrow the gap.
